FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Am I allowed to walk or run with my dog?
For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, no dogs will be allowed on the course. We ask that if you bring your dog to the race precinct area, please keep it on a leash at all times.
When do entries close to the Born To Run Festival?
Entries close at 11:59pm on Thursday 3rd October 2024.
No Entries are available on the day.
When do I collect my bib?
Bib Collection will be available from the Race Village in the Silo Precinct in The Foundations.
Friday 4th October 4 - 6pm
Saturday 5th October (Race Day) from 6:30am.
Where do I park?
There is plenty of parking available inside the Foundations site, on the street, as well across the road at Saville Park.
Can I register on the day?
No sorry. Registrations are NOT available on race day. You can enter online up until 11:59pm Thursday 3rd October 2024.
Where do the races start?
Each race will start in front of the famous Silos in The Foundations Silo Precinct.
Where do the races finish?
Each of the races will finish near the Silos in the Foundations Silo Precinct.
I am not entered in any of the races, am I allowed on the course to spectate?
There will be limited viewing opportunities on some small sections of the course.
Details of these locations will be released closer to race day.
My child is running in the 2km Kids Race, am I allowed to run with them?
Yes parents are allowed to run with their child. We ask you to please register that you are doing this at the registration desk on the day. You will be issued a bib at no cost. The bib will grant you access to the course when you run with your child. Without a bib, you will not be let through the gate due to safety issues.
Are there trophies for each of the races?
We have trophies for 1st and 2nd Males and Females in each of the 5km, 10km and Half Marathon races. The 2k Kids Race have trophies for 1st Male and 1st Female across 5 different age categories. Every finisher in every race receives a medal.
Can I ride my bike, skooter or skateboard?
Bikes, Skooters and Skateboards are not allowed on any of the race course and are not allowed in any of the races.
Are prams allowed in any of the races?
We ask you to be aware that the courses are trails consisting of both vehicle access roads and single track and may not be suitable for prams.
Are there Drink Stations available?
Drink Stations, stocking water and Powerade, will be situated on the course in both the 5km, 10km and Half Marathon races. There will be water, Powerade and fresh fruit available in the Recovery Zone at the finish line.
Is there food and drinks available?
The Foundations Markets are happening later in the day at The Foundations.
Usually there is a variety of food stalls amongst the markets.
The Race Village is also within 400m of the Portland Main Street where there are a mixture of eating options on offer.
What about coffee?
Coffee is available from a few of the local businesses in the main street, 400m from the Race Village.
