FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Am I allowed to walk or run with my dog?
For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, no dogs will be allowed on the course. We ask that if you bring your dog to the race precinct area, please keep it on a leash at all times.
When do entries close to the Born To Run Festival?
On-line entries close at 5pm on Friday 10th July 2020. Entries are available on the day, up until 30min before each race.
When do I collect my bib?
Bib Collection and on the day registration will open from 7:30am.
Where do I park?
There is plenty of parking available inside the Foundations site, on the street, as well across the road at Saville Park.
Can I register on the day?
Registrations are available on the day, up until 30minutes before the race. You can register at the registration desk in the race precinct.
Where do the races start?
Each race will start in the front of the garden beds that are located in front of the famous Silo Art.
Where do the races finish?
Each of the races will finish in front of the old Powerhouse and right next to The Foundations Markets that will be operating on the day.
I am not entered in any of the races, am I allowed on the course to spectate?
Unfortunately, spectators will not be allowed on the course itself once it enters inside The Foundations site due to safety issues.
You will be able to view parts of the course from the fence line.
My child is running in the 2km Kids Race, am I allowed to run with them?
Yes parents are allowed to run with their child. We ask you to please register that you are doing this at the registration desk on the day. You will be issued a bib at no cost. The bib will grant you access to the course when you run with your child. Without a bib, you will not be let through the gate due to safety issues.
Are there trophies for each of the races?
We have trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Males and Females in each of the three races.
Can I ride my bike, skooter or skateboard?
Bikes, Skooters and Skateboards are not allowed on any of the race course and are not allowed in any of the races.
Are prams allowed in any of the races?
We ask you to be aware that the courses are trails and a suitable pram would be requires for the terrain. We strongly discourage prams in the 10km race.
Are there Drink Stations available?
Drink Stations, stocking water and powerade, will be situated at the 2.5km mark in both the 5 and 10km races, as well as the 7.5km mark in the 10km race. There will be water, powerade and fresh fruit available in the recovery zone at the finish line.
Is there food and drinks available?
The Foundations Markets are happening right next to the finish line of the Born to Run Festival. Usually there is a variety of food stalls amongst the markets, which operate between 9am - 2pm.
What about coffee?
A coffee van is usually set up out the front of the markets.
